Theodore POV
I groan, my hands entwined in her hair, her pouty lips wrapped around my c**k, my head flung backward as she sucks me, my body vibrating with pure pleasure. Heaven. My personal secretary, Celia, sure knew how to please me, and as I shuddered, cumming hard, she swallowed all of it, licking her lips and then climbing out from underneath my desk, doing up the buttons of her dress and smiling widely.
"Is there anything else I can do for you Mr Trace" she whispered, leaning over seductively, her breasts straining against the fabric of her dress as my gaze lingered on them.
I hastily did the zipper up on my trousers and shot a glance towards the closed door of my office as she smiled wider. I opened my mouth and my cell phone rang. I scowled and glanced at the caller ID. I groaned.
"Celia, you had better go back out to your office. I need to take this call in private" I said, motioning towards the door.
She pouted but obediently opened the door and sidled out, shutting it behind her as I watched the gentle motion of her hips. Damn.
I answered the phone abruptly, feeling annoyed that my time with Celia had been cut short.
"This had better be important" I growled, not bothering with a warm greeting.
"It is" Karen's voice was stricken, almost panicked, and I frowned, wondering what had made her so rattled "I'm sorry Theodore, I didn't know what else to do."
"Calm down Karen. What is it? Something to do with the wedding?" I said, rolling my eyes.
The woman was a drama queen. I couldn't wait until this wedding was over and done with and Alyssa and I were officially married. I wouldn't have to deal with her family anymore, except for Dahlia that was.
"I couldn't help it" Karen was continuing to blabber on as I gripped the phone tighter, "I didn't mean to let it slip but it's too late now" she continued, sounding slightly hysterical "Theodore, she knows" she finished. "Alyssa knows about the agreement you made me and her father about the company."
Shit. I felt anger sweep through me. The agreement had been between the three of us and Alyssa was never meant to find out, not unless it became apparent she was having second thoughts about the wedding. It was my collateral for ensuring she went through with the marriage.
"Karen, you were supposed to keep that quiet. Was she having second thoughts?" I demanded icily. "Was she threatening to call the wedding off?"
"Well no," she said in a small voice, "not exactly. I just wanted her to stop. She was talking about a different dress and then going on about..."
"I don't care. Damnit Karen. Do you have any idea how much trouble this is going to cause me? Alyssa is going to be pissed". I snarled, "and I didn't want to have to use the agreement unless I had to get her in line."
"I know" Karen sniffed "What do we do now?"
"You do nothing," I told her furiously "I have to go and deal with damage control. Where is she now?" I demanded.
Silence. "Karen?"
"She's at home, locked in her room, refusing to come out."
I hung up. f**k. I grabbed my stuff and then stormed out of my office. "Celia, cancel all my meetings today. I have an emergency at home," I told her.
I brushed past, headed to the car, and drove home quickly. I walked inside and headed upstairs, walking past Karen hovering in the doorway, and knocked on the bedroom door.
"Alyssa". I kept my voice quiet, calm "Alyssa, open the door, and we can talk."
The door creaked open. I walked inside. Alyssa was seated on the bed, her eyes red and puffy from crying. I gritted my teeth. Damn, Karen and her big mouth!
"How could you?" Alyssa's voice cracked "How could you make such a deal with my family? Without my knowledge", she raised her head and stared accusingly at me.
"Alyssa" my tone was soothing, "honey, I think you're looking at this all wrong..." I began.
"Wrong?" she demanded, her tone turning frosty. "Wrong?" she shouted "You made a deal with my family so that I would marry you. How do I have that wrong" she hissed, "what happens if I decide not to marry you, Theodore? Do you still save the company?" her body stiffened.
"Alyssa, you're speaking as though you don't want to marry me anymore" I faked a laugh, feeling uneasy as she gave me a look filled with daggers. "This shouldn't even be a problem, because the wedding is going ahead."
"Is it?" her voice was dripping with venom "Because I know you've been sleeping with Dahlia" she added, as I flinched and then froze. "You've been with her for over six months" she gave me a twisted smile. "How am I supposed to feel about that Theodore?" she asked, while I stood there, unable to answer "And now I want to know" her voice rose "Will you save the family company if I refuse to marry you?"
I exhaled. s**t. How had she found out about me and Dahlia? Was she merely guessing that we had been having an affair? No, because she had said it had been over six months, as though she was precisely aware of how long Dahlia and I had been f*****g each other. Who had told her? I knew it wasn't Dahlia. I narrowed my eyes.
"Who told you about me and Dahlia?"
She snorted. "You don't even have the guts to deny it. Never mind who told me about you and Dahlia," she shouted. "Do you even hear yourself? You don't love me," she added bitterly, "you never have, have you?"
"Of course I love you" I growled, taking her aback. "If I didn't, I wouldn't have made that stupid deal. The thought of you being with anyone else drives me crazy, Alyssa. I've wanted you since the first moment I saw you. So what if I screw your stepsister? She's just fulfilling an urge of mine, nothing more", I assured her as she sat there stunned, "you're the one that I really want. The one that I'm determined to marry. Dahlia means nothing to me" I continued.
"If you loved me you would never have cheated on me in the first place" she yelled.
My hand shot out. I gripped her around the arm tightly, her eyes widening in pain as I tightened my grip. She was becoming too hysterical for my taste. I did not appreciate the tone she was using towards me or the insults she was hurling. She was acting as though becoming my wife was distasteful to her.
"You want the truth, Alyssa?" I snarled as she blinked her big doe eyes at me, shiny with unshed tears, "You want to know if I'll save the company if you don't marry me?" I smiled coldly.
She tried to yank her arm away, but I tightened my grip even further, my nails digging into her skin, causing her to let out a small cry. "The answer is no. I won't save your family's precious company if you try and leave me" I answered, pinning her with a gaze as she stilled "I will back out of the agreement and I will do everything in my power to ruin it instead of saving it. I have the wealth and the means to do so," I added, "so it's not an empty threat. Your family is already close to becoming bankrupt" I said with satisfaction. "It would not take much to send them in that direction."
Her face drained of blood. She looked ashen, her lower lip trembling. "You're a monster" she whispered.
I laughed. She had no idea what my real identity was, or what I was capable of. If she did, she would know just how true that statement was. I was more than a monster. I c****d a brow, "Maybe" I said without sympathy, "but I've learned how to get what I want, and I'm not going to make apologies for it."
She pulled her arm away and this time I allowed her to, letting go. I can see the dark bruises appearing on her porcelain complexion and fight back my smile. I had hurt her. Only slightly, but enough to warn her. She rubbed her arm with her hand, biting her lip.
"There's nothing I can do, is there?" she whispered, her voice breaking slightly "If I don't marry you, you'll ruin my family."
"I'll ruin the company and your reputation," I said, examining my watch and adjusting the sleeves of my jacket. "Your father and stepmother are relying on me to save the family company and get it back into a productive business again. How long has it been in your family for? Your father started it up when he was how old?" I asked her deliberately, watching a lone tear trail down her cheek "The business means a lot to him, doesn't it?" I prompted.
"Yes," she whispered, "it does."
She hiccuped. "Alyssa, it doesn't have to be like this. Marry me, forget all about the business with Dahlia, and we can start over again. Clean slate" I said nonchalantly. "In time it will be like it never happened. You'll have everything you've ever wanted; money, power, a family," I continued persuasively.
"What about love Theodore?" her voice is strangled "where does love come into it?"
"I love you Alyssa," I told her, cupping her cheek as she flinched. "Why else would I have gone to this amount of trouble?" I asked her knowingly.
"That's not love, Theodore," she said, turning her head away as I sighed.
"Call it what you will then" I snapped, stepping back and regarding her silently, "but what's your decision, Alyssa? Save your family or yourself? It's not a hardship being married to a wealthy man", I drawled, even as she gave me a scathing glance.
"I hate you," she told me, as I pointedly ignored her, my eyes glinting as I looked at her. She took a deep breath "I'll marry you, but only for the sake of saving my family's company" she whispered brokenly.
"If that's what it takes to have you, then I'll accept it," I said with a low hiss, "but I still expect you to play the part of a loving wife, Alyssa. Which means affection, attending events, giving me children..."
She blanched. "Children?"
"I need an heir," I told her deliberately, "like any other powerful or wealthy family would want. A child to take over the companies and inherit when I die. You could almost say it was expected", I nodded as she gaped at me.
"Get out," she said, lifting her chin, her lips quivering "Get out" she shouted.
"I'll leave you alone for now, but fix this attitude before I come back," I told her as she began to sob "I don't want a wife who's crying all the time, it's rather offputting," I added, before opening the door and quickly shutting it behind me as I left, hearing the sounds of her sobs behind me.
"Is she...?" Karen's voice.
"She's just learned the truth of the situation and the devastation that will occur if she doesn't go through with it. Thanks to you" I growled, walking past a shocked Karen and heading back downstairs.
