Out of the coma

Jett A girl I can't remember her name is, is on her mobile, who I believe is some receptionist at the hospital, she is shaking nervously as she tries to explain to the person what is wrong with Courtney, who is unconscious in my arms. Tears are streaming down both girls' eyes . Their other friends had run to the headmaster's office to tell him that Courtney was going unconscious in the girls toilets and was bleeding from her cut wrists and one of her friends called an ambulance. She finally hangs up. "They're on their way. Do you think she's…?" I shake my head. I have no idea if she's going to be okay. I check her pulse. It's faint but still there. "She has a pulse, but it's faint. I hope they get here quickly." Both friends nod and are still shaking. I keep talking to her, unsure if she can still hear me. I hope she can, though her eyes are closed. I can still feel her heartbeat though it's slowing and becoming fainter. Soon enough the paramedics are rushing down the corridor following our head master. Having to explain all over again finally leaving the school with Courtney I had to tell them I was a relative so I could go with her. No way was I leaving her alone. The principal was contacting her parents and letting her brother know what had happened. If I were him I wouldn't have bothered. Tucker didn't give two f***s about her all he cared about was his rep and his friends f**k everyone else that cared. Ashton was his main priority, not Courtney, everyone knew that. Even though I knew that, even if we hadn't spoken until the other day. I had respected her enough to stay away because she loved Isaac and Issac was a possessive fuckltard. I had no idea what went on between them but one thing I did know was that nothing happened between us that day. We talked briefly and we were both going to lessons. I like Courtney. She's a fiery fourteen year old sassy red head that knows what she wants and how she feels, that prick Barraman doesn't like that because he can't get inside her head like other girls he used to for a quick fix. But he had gotten into her head today and I was going to find out exactly what was going on. Once we got into the hospital her mom was waiting gee that woman was fast. She hugged me tightly, thanking me for finding Courtney, which wasn't just me. But I said I'd thank the girls that were there first and called the ambulance. Once she signed a few papers they rushed Courtney into surgery. Twelve hours later she came out there were minor complications but the surgery went well. They'd given her blood after they'd sewed her wrists back up. We were allowed to see her but she was in a coma. They weren't sure how long she'd be in it for. Her mom cried and cried as I comforted her. Where the hell was her dad and brother? Didn't they care enough for them to be here? I tomorrow her to go ahead first and ud wait. She smiled at me and hugged me before she went in. I called my parents with an update. They've been worried about Courtney since I told them where I was and what was going on. I knew the headmaster would want me to elaborate on what happened once I returned to school. Which was a few days later. I hadn't seen Tucker at her hospital when I had visited or at school. Was he avoiding everyone? Or just the questions they would ask? Two weeks later. "What the f**k are you doing here?" I looked up from where I was sitting, I'd been here over an hour and had taken over from Courtney's mother as she was going on shift. I glared angrily at Tucker, how dare he! I've not seen him once here over the past two weeks and he just shows up and thinks he can barge in and throw me out. I think f*****g not. And I intend to tell him so. "I brought Courtney in. Not that you f*****g care, all you f*****g care about is how popular you are and your f*****g friends." "That's not true." "Bull s**t. You're more concerned about Barraman than your own fuckung sister!" "That's bull shit." "Is it? Is it really Tucker? You think I don't f*****g know that you put your best friend before your own f*****g sister!" "No I don't. Where's Isaac? Shouldn't he be here instead of you?" "Where the f**k have you been for the f*****g past few weeks? He dumped her” "Why?" "Ask your f*****g friend, he's good at deceiving you and he's good at making people lose their friends. How the f**k do you think she got here in the f*****g first place?" "Stop, please." A quiet voice broke out. We both snapped our heads around. "Courtney you're awake?" I said, smiling with relief. She smiled, faintly. "Glad you're finally awake is."I rolled my eyes. Where has this prick been for the past two weeks? I'd been here every damn moment I could where the f**k was he? "What happened?" "You locked yourself in the bogs I had to barge in. You were passed out. One of the girls who was trying to get called the ambulance." I looked at her wanting to ask her what made her decide to slit her wrists in the first place. Then that prick spoke instead. "What the hell were you thinking Courtney? You could've died." He sounded so angry, but why? Her lips trembled and tears fell. I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her looking dead at Tucker. "Well f*****g done Tucker! You could've been less brash, prick." "Maybe I wanted to be." We both looked at her, shocked we were not expecting that. “Why sis? Why? Everyone one loves you.” I scoffed, f*****g lies. He cut his eyes at me. "Not everyone." "What do you mean sis? You have family and friends?" Yeah right ones that abandon her. It was her turn to scoff. "Yeah whatever." "You do." Where has this i***t been for the past few weeks? Under a f*****g rock? "I have no friends, they've all turned against me, they'd rather side with your best friend than me!" "I'm sure that's not true Courtney." She continued ignoring him. "They believed all of the s**t he's pulled over the past few weeks. He took photos of all of them. I don't know how, but he did. I got blamed for all of it when I wasn't involved and to top it off my boyfriend thinks I'm cheating on him with Ashton ." She said angrily, looking at me. Well that was one mystery solved though Isaac had already confronted me with the photos and was told the exact same thing as Courtney had. f**k all happened between us, but yet he chose not to believe either of us. His loss. "You know what he called me? A f*****g w***e. And that was all Barraman's doing cause he's f*****g jealous." "Don't be stupid sis." Her face contorted. "GET OUT!" He flinched. "What?" "I SAID GET THE f**k OUT!" "But..I.. " "You'll never believe me Tucker. I know that now. You'll always put your friends first and above everyone else, especially your family, especially me." "That's not true we stuck up for you when.. " "Once Tucker and I thought you actually changed and were on my side and giving Barraman the big f**k you! And family was worth more than your f*****g friends. I guess I was wrong." "You mean everything to me sis." "At one point in time I would've believed you, then Bareaman turned us against each other. I gave you another chance to prove family was more important and you f****d up again. There's no more chances Tucker. You chose your friends against family." "What are you trying to say Courtney?" "We're done, finito. You're no longer my brother." "Please Court." "Goodbye Tucker, have a nice life and tell Bryce to stay the hell away too." "No Courtney, you're just angry with Ash." "He took everything away from me! He may as well take my family away too." "Stop Court, you don't mean it." "Yes I do. Get the hell out!" "Court." I watched amused he'd finally been caught out on his bullshit and she wasn't having any of it. I am proud of her right now. "Sis please." He pleaded. "Go Tucker, get the f**k out and away from me! Stay the f**k away." "Sis please!" She went to snap again. Her monitor was beeping like crazy. She began hyperventilating, her breathing shallow. The nurses ran in telling us to get out so they could stabilise her. Their mom came rushing over to us asking us what had caused her panic attack. I tried my best to explain. She looked disappointed at Tucker telling him it was best to go home until Courtney was calmer and ready to talk to him. He looked like a puppy with his tail in-between his legs as he nodded before leaving, giving me a dirty look telling me it wasn't over and I'd pay for Courtney turning against him when it was clearly all his fault. The nurses stabilised Courtney telling her mother and I she was sleeping and this gave her something to stabilise her. Her mom thought it was best if I went home to shower, change and have some rest. If anything came up or happened she'd let me know. I agreed and gave her a hug before leaving. She slipped into Courtney's room as I left. It was for the best if only her mom was there when she woke.
