CLARA
"We need to talk before I head out to perform my duties." Noah says to me immediately I'm done with my breakfast.
Actually, I was about to get back to the bedroom but when he tells me so, I walk to him and I lower myself on the couch next to him.
"First of all, the fridge in the kitchen has almost everything you need so any time you feel like eating, you can prepare something for yourself." Noah says and I just nod. I'm glad I know how to cook therefore I don't need any training.
"You don't have to stay bored inside the house so you can talk a walk out there and around the house but don't go far from here because it might be risky." He adds and the best I can do is to nod. I'm still unable to hold a decent conversation with him. I'm not yet comfortable in his presence.
"I'll be back in the evening with a dress or two and a few other person requirements. Try to eat something because you look... emaciated and I don't want people to think I don't feed you well!" He says, making me to stare at the ground in embarrassment. He has hit a spot I hate being touched. Ouch!
"Is there anything else you need before I leave for work?" Noah asks after a long silence.
"Where are you going to?" I ask and he eyes me in confusion. "I mean, what do you do as the Top Warrior of this Pack?" I clarify and he forces a smile as he picks his jacket from the seat.
"I train young warriors to become as strong as I am. I also ensure the border's security is tight and every warrior is at their posts at the border." He explains.
"Okay." I say for lack of what else to say.
"Make sure you don't stray far and wide unless you want to get attacked or lost." He adds as he leaves and I just nod. How far can I go with these oversized clothes? I look like a scarecrow...for lack of a better word!
Immediately Noah closes the door behind him, I spread myself on the couch and start watching the television. I don't even dare change the channel he was watching.
As I lie on the couch watching TV, I can't stop worrying about my dad. Did he discover that I'm missing? If he did, did he start looking for me? How is he taking this whole thing?
Well, I know my Pack is not far away from this Pack but I won't dare go back home. I'll find a way to contact him and tell him about what happened to me, that's if Noah won't chase me from his house.
Time passes as I think about home, especially the cruelty I have experienced from Angela and her mother. I have had the longest eighteen years on earth and I hope that will change now that I am far away from them. I hope they're doing well without me!
After lunch, I decide to take a walk around the house as Noah advised and also check and see if he has neighbours and maybe meet some new friends.
I walk to the door and unlock it since I had locked it from inside.
Immediately I step outside, I'm caught by surprise when I fail to see any other buildings surrounding Noah's house. Thinking that I haven't checked well, I walk to the back of the house hoping to see more houses but nothing...I don't see any sigh of any building around. All I can see is the forest and bushes around us, except for a small flower garden surrounding the house.
Even though the house has a low perimeter wall and a chain link surrounding it, I can't stop having chills all over my body! I didn't expect this at all!
I am in a panic mode when I rush inside and lock the door behind me and after ensuring that I am safe inside, I rush to the bedroom and slump on it.
As I pant heavily due to shock and awe, I notice the window whose curtains I drew in the morning and I suddenly recall that I didn't even peep through it to see outside the house.
When I glance at the window, I notice that the glasses are tinted and I can't even see outside. Well, the location of his house explains why he has tinted windows!
As I lie on the bed, I can't stop wondering why an Alpha's son is living all alone in the bush, at a secluded place.
What pushed him to live here all alone yet according to people, his father had a big family house and also a Pack House where they have offices and other houses. The late Alpha Frank also had flats and cottages allover where Noah could have easily chose to live in.
The more I think about the logic behind Noah's choice of residence, the more I get a splitting headache. I don't really understand what pushed him at all!
No wonder he warned me against straying far and wide, knowing quite well that I won't go past the gate after seeing the forest. Damn!

"You slept so early Clara, are you okay?" I'm woken up from sleep by Noah's voice. He's already in the bedroom.
I sit up on bed in confusion wondering when he came back home. I'm sure I had locked the living room door, so it's obvious he used a spare key to unlock it.
"I'm sorry I slept. I couldn't help it." I sincerely apologise. I can't find any other words to express myself.
"It's okay. It's good you haven't cooked yet because I've brought you dinner."
"Wow, that was so thoughtful of you." I say as I climb out of bed.
"The table is already set. Meet me in the living room." He says as he heads to the door and walks outside.
Since it's already cold, I walk to Noah's closet and I search for a sweater and when I only find jackets and coats, I almost give up but before I do, I spot a hoodie and I grab it, pulling it from the hanger. I slip it over my head and walk outside.
Noah is already at the dinning table serving his food and I join him. Just like yesterday night, he has brought home some fried chicken, salad, fries and a burger.
After serving mine, I eat to my fill and I also add a glass of orange juice.
After clearing the table and taking the dishes to the kitchen, I start doing them but Noah stops me saying that washing the dishes isn't one of my responsibilities for now. However, I just wanted to be in the kitchen, away from him so as not to keep thinking about him and his stand alone house.
All this while, I've been fighting from within wondering how I will approach him and ask him about his house and why he lives far away from everyone else but I just can't. I've already started fearing him because I can't tell what such a lonely and maybe secretive person is thinking or planning to do.
When he says that he will do the dishes, I take a U-turn and head to the washroom and after I'm done, I walk to the bedroom but Noah calls me to the living room.
He hands me a parcel and he demands that I open it in his presence. With sweaty and clammy hands, I open it and my eyes almost pop out of their sockets after finding three beautiful dresses in there. They're all of different colours and I almost hug Noah but I control myself.
Still in the package, there is half a dozen of panties and three brassieres and I can tell that all of them are my size.
"Thank you so much!" I say to him as I continue checking to find out what else he has bought for me.
"I know that's not enough but I'll buy you more as time goes by."
As time goes by? Does he have hopes of keeping me here for long....or maybe forever? Oh my!
I also find two pairs of sandals in there and the last thing I see is a booty short and a matching t-shirt.
All that excitement makes me to temporarily forget that we're in the middle of the forest and I can't stop thanking Noah over and over again.
"Next week we shall go shopping together. That day you can choose the kind of stuff you like." Noah says to my surprise.
"What?" I gasp. "There are more than enough Noah, and I am quite grateful for every kind gesture you've shown me. However, I don't think I really deserve all these. I am nothing to you-
"He is also nothing but a cursed rogue to you!" Someone says from the doorway, cutting me short, making Noah and I to shift our attention to the door.
