I slowly drifted to sleep, still feeling the light tingles of his kisses all over my hands and forehead. He held my hand tight and adjusted the sheets against me, and with him sitting right there, the pain was much easier to bear. I woke up to the slight creaking of the door, and I slowly turned to it. Alpha Vincent was closing it slowly with his right foot while balancing a tray of food and medications on his hand. "Vincent?" He closed the door, then settled the tray on the table next to me. He leaned and kissed my forehead, and I immediately went red, my chest heaving. "How do you feel?" I shrugged. "I am okay. Thank you." He met my eyes, then smiled at me, taking my breath with him.
