Xavier lifted his eyes to see Jessica staring hard at him. He felt his face flush with embarrassment. How could she be openly staring at him like that? "Can I give you a call after dinner?" Xavier said his voice firm and enticing. Jessica could not make out the words he said but she knew they drew her in.
