Molen is at dazed even if she already got home. She can still felt that rude guy's lips on hers. Molen washed it too many times and even brushed her teeth twice. She couldn't believe that Flynn kissed her as a revenge. She gritted her teeth and clenched fists. Molen opened her laptop to check if that guy uploads that photo of them. It's a perfect and well-planned kind of vengeance and bothers her a lot. What if he uploads it? Will her business be affected? That photo tells a story that everyone can describe even without a caption!
She heaved a sigh of relief when their names were not on the trending tab. Since she posted something awful about Flynn, that gave rise to her and Molecules Cafe to be known. A while ago, they recorded their highest sales after months in business. Many customers entered their cafe, tasted their pastries, desserts, and drinks, and some uploads their experiences online and tagged Molecules Cafe's social media account. She established Molecules Cafe based on what her mom drew a few years ago.
Molen made a unique space in that cafe to commemorate her mom. That exceptional space garners their customer's attention—a ping sound of a notification coming from her laptop halted her thoughts. It is a message request coming from a guy named Flynn Bryant Sandoval. She's about to reject it when she made a second look. Flynn Bryant Sandoval sent her a private message! The arrogant and p*****t Flynn Bryant Sandoval. It was the photo that he took a while ago. An image that brought back memories she'd tried to erase on her mind.
If she wanted to get rid of that, she must do what Flynn asked her to do. He sent his contact number, which she dialed immediately. He's trying to blackmail her. Flynn rejected her calls and messaged her instead. He asked her to meet him at his residence tomorrow. What the hell? There's no way she'll go there. It's like digging her own grave. She didn't answer him and put it on a spam folder.
"I'm not afraid of him," she said.
Molen thinks twice. Flynn is a deceiving kind of guy. And she's right! Flynn is counting down 'till he posted their photo. She has no choice but to sell herself with the demon.
Ugh! I hate you to death, Flynn Bryant Sandoval!
The next morning, Molen arise early to do her rituals before coming to work. She did a fifteen-minute yoga and breathing exercises. Molen did some stretching after yoga and meditation to calm her nerves and mind. After those rituals, she headed inside her bathroom and took a thirty minutes shower. When Molen came out of her room, she immediately went into their apartment's mini garden to greet Nana Rosa.
"Good morning, Molen. Isn't it too early to open your cafe?" Nana Rosa asked.
"I have an outside work meeting today. Vina and Abbey will be the cafe in charge of today, Nana." Molen answered. She kissed Nana Rosa's forehead and bid her goodbye. Molen has no time to explain what kind of client she's meeting today. In her mind, he's not a client. Flynn is just an annoying, arrogant guy who shamed her masterpieces and now blackmailing her. Life is full of surprises!
She jumped out of the car as it stopped in front of Flynn's residence. It's like repeating what she had done here the other day. Heaving a deep sigh before walking towards the gate then pressed the doorbell. Someone opened it and guided her way towards the living room. She felt suffocated as they reached that place. Molen wanted to run away from that house and take her words back. If it's because of that damn photo, she wouldn't be there.
"You came," said the deep voice coming down the elegant staircase. Molen rolled her eyes upon seeing the grin on Flynn's face.
"You said that you'd delete that photo if I visit you. I didn't know that you love seeing my face," Molen mumbled like a kid who's trying to pissed someone.
He scoffed, "Who said I wanted to see you? You're here to serve me and do things for me; in return, I'll delete that photo of us."
Come on, Molen, you have to be friendly with him. She reminded herself.
"What do you want me to do?"
Flynn acted like thinking then flashed an irritating smile after.
"Since Aaron resigned already, you need to be my researcher."
"Researcher?" She exclaimed. "I have a business to manage, mister, and being a researcher is kinda time-consuming."
"So, do you want me to upload this instead?"
Damn, this guy! I want to strangle him, break his limbs, and burns him alive!
Molen didn't talk in a while and think of a better plan to get rid of that photo.
If I snatched it, will I succeed? No, Molen, he's too tall and has a well-toned built. You'll get yourself an injury if ever.
"Decide now, or else I'll the post button now." Flynn showed him the pre-composed post that will ruin her life forever.
"Is there anything that I can do aside from researching?" Molen asked.
"Be my slave, then," Slave? Is he out of his mind? "I'll give my maid a month-long day off, and you'll cook, wash the dishes, take out the garbage, iron my clothes, and clean the house."
"Are you insane?" She let out a heavy breath and put her hands on the corners of her waists. "You know what, post it. It doesn't matter anymore to me for the sake of my dignity and mental stability. Do whatever you with that photo. I don't care. It's nice meeting you, and I hope that our path won't cross again. Like ever!"
"Are you sure?"
Oh, Lord, I don't want to curse, but this guy is testing me.
She just flickered her middle up in the air and walked outside Flynn's house immediately.
Molen watched those who passed by their cafe. It's a typical sunny Wednesday for her. Boring, and there's nothing to aside from counting all the dust on the window panes. She grabbed a handful of chips and shot it inside her mouth. The crisps of it have died. Molen stood up and threw the chips and refill a set. It's been a week since she last saw this place jam-packed with customers. Now, it's like a graveyard waiting for visitors. Abbey and Vina didn't come to work for they're busy dating someone they met online.
Nana Rosa stays in their apartment since there no work to do in the cafe. Molen made the schedule of her personnel skeletal just for a month or until the business recovers from it's a significant loss. Waiting for a single customer is dreadful, so she decided to close it and went home early. While walking her way home, Molen heard a murmur from the people around her. Yes, she was the girl who used that who's name is unlawful to mention. That's the sole reason why her business doomed after being famous for a week or two.
It's okay, and it saves my dignity though it such a shame on my mother's grave.
Instead of going home, she decided to visit a nearby bar of the University beside her cafe. Molen planned to drink two tall glasses of beer and go home after. She's not a fan of, but today is different. Molen needed to drink to sleep and stopped her brain from thinking just for tonight. She doesn't know what to with her business failing and lousy reputation online. Molen wanted to die, but her mom will not be happy with that. She's not a quitter. Just an impulsive girl who let her anger crushed herself in front of a guy.
Molen angrily grabbed the glass when that devious face of Flynn flashed her mind. She wanted to forget him, his smell, his venomous kiss, everything. But Molen can't because it's already a part of her. A portion of her she wished it didn't happen. Molen becomes so ambitious, and have to admit it wholeheartedly if she could only turn back the time.
I will turn it back to the time where I didn't plan to get Flynn's attention. He's the constant bad luck of my life.
"A glass of rum, please," a familiar voice beside her said. She immediately took a glance to curse the owner of that voice.
"You..." Molen said and tried to stand up straight. "You ruined my life, my business, and you still have the guts to show your face to me?"
"Ms. Tejada?"
"Yes."
"God, you're drunk," Flynn exclaimed.
"No, I'm not --" But she before she could finish, surrounding becomes blurry at first, then it went all black afterward.
Molen wakes up with a headache and feeling a sensational pain down the lower part of her body. She barely remembered what happened last night. She got drunk and met Flynn; then it stopped there. Molen massages the temples of her head gently before scanning the entire room. It's not her room and not their apartment.
What happened? Where am I?
She couldn't find answers inside her head. A rough, hoarse noise halted her thought right away. Beside her is a man sleeping uncovered. Molen immediately covered her eyes.
What happened last night? Why couldn't I remember anything?
She took a peek at the sleeping naked guy beside her. Life is indeed full of surprises. The asleep naked guy beside her is none other than the man she hated wholeheartedly. Flynn Bryant Sandoval.
Molen hated him to death, but what she's doing in his bed? Why are they both naked?
