My stomach fluttered, and my cheeks burned as my face reddened in embarrassment. Hearing his muscular voice utter those naughty words gave me a rush of pleasure that made my panties become moist.I pushed him away from me, feeling a mix of emotions.
Diamond stepped back from the force I used, chuckling as I said, “You're dreaming; go to hell." I hurried out of the corner before him, determined not to let him drive me crazy, and I could feel his smirk as he watched me leave.
“Don't act like you don't want me to!” I heard him utter behind me in a mocking tone. He knew all too well that I had fallen for his charm. Thank goodness this is the last wedding I will attend, and hopefully I won't have to see him again after all this is over.
"Oh my God, Stephanie, where have you been? We were just about to leave, and you've gone missing. I was so freaking scared I lost you," my mom said, running towards me before pulling me into a hug. Diamond was right; my mom really thought I went missing. I'm nineteen now, and I can't believe she still sees me as a child. After she released me from the hug, she took my hands and led me to an extremely expensive black car—the Mercedes-Benz Exelero, the latest version. My mom can't be the one who can afford this car, right?
"Mom, who owns this car?" I asked her out of curiosity, and she smiled.
"It belongs to your stepfather," my mom responded, and my eyes widened. I couldn't believe my stepfather could be this rich. No wonder she accepted to marry him. "Come on, Stephanie, your dad and I will drop you home before we leave for our honeymoon," she added, blushing slightly.
"Alright, girls, let's go," Logan said as he opened the car door and gestured for my mom and I to get in. My mom got in first, and I followed, taking the seat beside her. Logan locked the door and settled into the driver's seat. As he started the car and manoeuvred out of the parking space, I couldn't help but feel uneasy right now as I noticed the subtle eye contact between my stepfather and Diamond through the rearview mirror as he drove past him.
While inside the car, the heavy silence in the air made me easily recall all that happened between me and Diamond back there at the church. I can't believe I was willing to give myself to him back there. This was the effect of my stepfather working on me. I wanted him so badly to fulfil my s****l craving.
I sighed and turned to my mom, and as usual, she was engrossed in her phone, while my stepfather remained focused on the road. I began to wonder if Diamond's father marrying my mom was just an act of revenge.
I mean, Logan himself was the one who had proposed to my mom, yet I had never seen him look at my mom with any genuine affection towards her; his gaze always seemed to be filled with feral lust. This was the reason why I didn't want my mom to rush into marriage with him just because it's what he desires to keep their relationship. I wondered if this was part of Diamond's plan. I have a feeling Logan could be somehow connected to all of this. I pondered over this, trying to piece together the puzzle to understand more.
Suddenly, Logan began driving at an unusual speed. I was scared, but I didn't say a word, trusting that my mom would intervene.
The speed of the car accelerated further, startling us, and that's when my mom spoke up. "Logan, honey, you don't have to rush. We shouldn't be in a hurry when we have a whole week to ourselves," my mom said, but he didn't stop.
"I don't know what's happening to the car. I'm not doing this. f**k!" he cursed, and that's when I knew we were doomed for sure. He tried pressing the brake, but it didn't work. “The brake isn't working,” Logan announced, still pressing down on the brake.
A car pulled up in front of ours, and I exclaimed, "Logan, watch out for that car!" My shout drew my mom's attention away from her phone to the front-view mirror. She shrieked at the sight of the car coming crashing towards us. Logan attempted to reverse the car to avoid the other vehicle, but it was too late. The speed caused our car to collide with the other vehicle.
"Boom!" was the sound I heard as the two cars smashed together. The impact brought both cars to a sudden stop. Since neither my mom nor I were wearing seats
belts, our bodies jolted forward, slamming against the front seats, and we immediately blacked out.
