It was already morning when Nick regained consciousness as he looks around, "What the hell happened to me?" he rhetorically asked. Still looking around, his eyes caught the pendant, "Oh s**t!" he exclaimed. "This s**t is real!" Nick said as he quickly stands to his feet. "I taught I was dreaming," Nick continued.
Gripped with fear he wanted to skedaddle but on second thought he decided to pick up the pendant, "I guess you are coming with me," Nick said as he looks at the pendant. As he focuses on the pendant he noticed the pendant glittering, "Whoa!" he exclaimed. "Don't knock my ass out again," he added as he makes his way out from the building with the pendant in his pocket.
"Help me!" a voice cried out from afar. "Help me!" the voice continued and as it became louder. Hastily, Nick followed the sound of the voice to the other block. As soon as he got there, he saw a young lady with syrupy-sweet lips and a dainty nose trying to get away from the zombies as she fights them off with an umbrella. "What the hell am I supposed to do?" Nick rhetorically asked as he looks around.
The zombies noticed someone else behind them as their focus switched to Nick. As they drag their rotten body towards Nick, "Watch out!" the lady yelled as she calls the attention of Nick. At this time, Nick has picked up a rod and as the zombies approach, he struck them by the head one after another, their brains gushed out.
"Very impressive," the lady said as she admires Nick. "You don't fight zombies with an umbrella," Nick said to the lady with a soft smile as he walks up to her. "I'm Nick," he said as he offered his hand for a shake. "I am Judy, but I will shake you when you wash those nasty hands," she said jokily. Nick gave a soft smile, "What are you doing here all by yourself?" "I lost my team, I'm a journalist and there was a large number of zombies that invaded our TV station last two days," Judy narrates. "You guys were living in your TV station after the outbreak for the last two years?" Nick asked sternly. "You are damn right," Judy replied. "I thought no one was left in this city after the outbreak. I was staying with a group of surviving soldiers before I decided to leave," Nick explained. "Maybe we should stick around," Judy said with a smile. "That sounds good," Nick replied putting up a soft smile.
As they both walk down the road, Judy asked, "Do you have anywhere in mind?" "Not at all," Nick replied. "So you have no destination?" Judy asked sternly. "Why then do you leave your team?" Judy added. "They don't believe people are still out here," Nick replied.
Not quite long, they saw zombies feeding on a man, "Another victim," Judy said. "Let's get the hell out of here before they notice our presence," Nick said as he leads the way. But suddenly as they slowly walk pass the zombies, Nick looked back; he saw a clear view of the victim, "Whoa!" he exclaimed as he tried to get a clearer view. "What's the matter?" Judy asked with curiosity. "I know that man," Nick replied. "From your former team?" Judy enquired. "No!" Nick replied. "He stole from me yesterday," Nick said as he looks around.
"What are you looking for?" Judy asked with curiosity as she was becoming more worried. "We need to leave now before they notice our presence," Judy added. "Not until I find my bike," Nick replied. "What bike are you talking about?" Judy asked. "That asshole stole my bike and my gun," Nick replied as he walks across the next block. Judy ran after him saying, "Wait for me!"
"Oh there you are," said Nick as he saw the bike parked in a corner. "You miss me, baby?" Nick asked as he caresses the bike. "Is this your bike?" Judy asked seeing the amount of love Nick was showing the bike as he caresses it. "Founders keepers," Nick replied. "Hop in, we need to leave," Nick said.
Back at the captain's camp, as his men were keeping watch, they saw hundreds of zombies approaching, dragging their rotten body parts towards the barricade; crippled in fear one of the soldiers said to his colleague, "Alert the captain." "We can't fight this," the soldier replied. "We should skedaddle," the soldier added.
As the zombies dragged their rotten body parts towards the entrance of the camp, with noticeable hiss and groaning, Curtis noticed what was happening as he sounded the alarm, drawing the attention of the entire soldiers and the captain.
Before one of the soldiers who were standing at a barricade could pick up his gun, a bunch of zombies lunged at him, as one of the zombies bite out his nose. The captain yelled at his boys to retrieved but it was already late as the zombies had them surrounded, making it difficult for them to access their trucks.
Meanwhile, Nick drove towards the beach with Judy seated behind him, "Why the beach?" Judy asked. "This is an apocalypse; we are not going for a honeymoon. Are we?" Judy added. "I own a boat," Nick replied. "Let's see what we can find or if the boat still works," Nick replied. "And you think your boat will be waiting for you after two years?" Judy asked. "Perhaps!" Nick replied as he accelerated more.
On reaching the beach, Nick parked the bike close to the shore as they both made their way to the shore. "Can you see your boat from here?" Judy asked. "I'm not sure," Nick replied as he looks towards the waters. "Perhaps your boat is gone," said Judy. "Perhaps you are wrong," Nick said with a smile on sighting his boat. "Follow me," Nick said to Judy as he led her to the boat.
As they were standing by the shore close to the boat as Nick takes the first step to enter his boat, a zombie covered with sand held him by the leg. As Nick struggles to get rid of the zombie, another zombie from behind held him by the other led and bites him, "Ahhhh!" Nick screamed in pain.
