Gamers of the World, Unite! I ADORED GAMING CONVENTIONS. Heck, I loved anime and tech conventions just as much and never missed a Comic-Con if I could help it. I loved the crowds of people sharing a passion for video games and feeling like I belonged. This need to be part of a community that shared my passion came from years of being seen as an uncool teen whenever I announced I was going to spend a day and night queuing for some in-store release. My experience at these conferences hadn't changed much with my new-found popularity. Most people came for the games, not the Internet celebrities.
