I WHISTLED AS I SHOWERED, banging my head to the tune I was poorly rendering. I was up early, feeling energetic and ready to take on the day. I'd even worked out with half the normal resentment I felt whenever physical exercise was involved. I wasn't a sporty guy, but I did make a real effort to stay in shape.
