Given my lack of inspiration the day before, I wasn’t looking forward to waiting for the muse to strike. But it was either the study or Lee’s mother and I wasn’t in the mood to torture myself, so I trudged upstairs with the heavy steps of a condemned man. Somehow I had expected the unhurried life of a writer to be much more than this…this waiting to write.
