They arrived in Khum Jung the following day around dinnertime. Not having any food in the house, they took their meal at one of the teahouses in the village. By the time they got home, it was dusk. Frank lit a fire in the hearth while Sarah emptied their packs and putting clothes away. After she was finished, she poured herself a glass of wine and joined him in front of the fire. As she sipped her wine, she said, “You barely touched your dinner tonight.” “Wasn’t hungry, I guess,” he said. He turned his head and coughed, then got up and went in the other room.
