Rue’s POV
His voice came as a shock to me, I was not expecting him to catch me in the act not to the point that he would even come to the passageway I showed Riley.
“What the fu!ck did you just do?!” He asked again as he got near. His facial expression was stern and at the same time unreadable. I wanted to judge the level of anger on his face so that I can know how to go about my pleading, but it was not visible. I could not predict it.
“Did you not hear me?!” He growled, coming to me with his fist up as if he wants nothing else but to strangle me.
My whole body shook. I didn't know what to say, I don't have any tangible explanation to give him. At least he is not running after Riley and he is not sending his warriors after him either.
