Chapter 15: The center of the storm

The "Eye of the Storm" is just like its name, as if it is surrounded by an invisible storm. Lin Yue, Li Mo and Chen Xi sneaked into this secret base under the cover of night. The air around them was filled with a tense silence, as if everything was holding its breath waiting for the arrival of the storm.

"The defense here is much tighter than we expected." Chen Xi whispered, her eyes fixed on the terminal screen, trying to find the weak points of the defense system.

"We don't have much time." Li Mo responded calmly, with a sense of urgency in his tone. "Once the enemy finds us, the raid plan will fail completely."

Lin Yue held the weapon tightly in his hand, his eyes swept back and forth between the patrolling soldiers. He could feel that there were huge dangers lurking in every corner here. Once their actions were discovered, they would be waiting for a fierce battle.

"I have found the location of the control center." Chen Xi's voice was full of excitement. "As long as we can get there, I can control their defense system and open the passage for us."

"Okay, let's act quickly." Li Mo gave the order decisively, and the three of them moved quickly and headed towards the control center.

They quietly shuttled through the shadows, trying to avoid the sight of the patrol team. Although they moved carefully, Lin Yue still felt uneasy, as if an invisible force was secretly observing their every move.

When they approached the control center, suddenly, the lights in the passage ahead suddenly lit up, and a heavy metal door slowly fell from the ceiling, blocking their way.

"Oh no, we've been discovered!" Chen Xi's face changed suddenly, and she quickly started to operate the terminal, trying to open the blocked door.

"We don't have time!" Li Mo cursed in a low voice, quickly drew his weapon, and prepared to fight. He knew that once the enemy launched a full-scale attack, they would be in a desperate situation.

At this moment, Lin Yue felt a strong energy fluctuation coming from all around, and the power made him feel familiar and strange. He turned around suddenly and saw a tall figure slowly walking out of the darkness. It was the enemy commander.

"You really don't know how to live or die." The commander sneered, with a cold light flashing in his eyes. "Dare to break into the Eye of the Storm, you have reached a dead end."

Lin Yue clenched his fists, and the power in his body burst out instantly. He knew that this enemy was not simple, his power was far beyond that of ordinary people, and he must not be underestimated.

"We won't let you succeed." Lin Yue responded coldly, with a firm light flashing in his eyes.

The commander's smile became more ferocious, and he suddenly launched an attack. A powerful energy wave swept towards Lin Yue and Li Mo. Lin Yue reacted quickly and used the power in his body to resist the impact, but he felt that the power was so strong that he could hardly resist it.

"Lin Yue, be careful!" Chen Xi's voice was full of anxiety. She was still trying to c***k the control system, but time was obviously running out.

Lin Yue gritted his teeth and forced himself to stay calm. He knew that this was not the time to waver and he had to go all out. He fought the commander with all his strength, and the air was filled with tense energy fluctuations, as if a more intense conflict could break out at any time.

"Do you think you can win?" The commander sneered, his voice full of confidence. "You are just part of their experiment. Your power comes from us, and you are now just a pawn in our plan."

Lin Yue's heart was shaken, and he felt a strong shock. "What are you talking about?"

"That's right." The commander's smile became even colder, "You have been our experimental subject from the beginning, and the awakening of the werewolf gene is just to verify our control technology. Now, your power has been completely exposed, and all your actions are under our control."

Lin Yue felt a sharp pain in his mind, and he couldn't believe this cruel truth. Could it be that everything he had done so far was part of the secret organization's plan? He never really controlled his own destiny?

"You are lying!" Lin Yue roared, and the power in his body suddenly surged. He couldn't tolerate this truth, and the anger in his heart almost made him lose his mind.

At this moment, Chen Xi finally succeeded in cracking the control system. She quickly shut down the enemy's defense device and opened a channel for Lin Yue and Li Mo.

"Lin Yue, go!" Chen Xi shouted anxiously, with a hint of triumphant joy in her voice.

Lin Yue did not hesitate, he quickly rushed to the entrance of the passage, followed by Li Mo. The commander tried to attack again, but Lin Yue had completely mastered his power. He used all his strength to block the energy fluctuations and successfully escaped from the commander's attack range.

The three quickly evacuated the control center, and the metal door behind them closed again, blocking the enemy inside.

"We succeeded!" Chen Xi's voice was a little excited, but it could not hide her fatigue.

"It's not over yet." Li Mo said calmly, with a cold light in his eyes. "We must completely destroy the Eye of the Storm and leave no trouble behind."

Lin Yue nodded. Although he was still full of uneasiness in his heart, he knew that the road ahead was still long and difficult. They must keep moving forward until all the truth is completely revealed and all the conspiracies of the secret organization are crushed.

"Let's go, we can't stay." Lin Yue said firmly, with a resolute light in his eyes.
