As I walked down the aisle, everyone stood and watched. I felt hundreds of eyes on me as I made my way towards Nico.
There was no one I knew in the audience. The only person I knew was the man waiting for me.
Each step I took towards the altar felt heavier than the last.
I could feel my heart pounding in my ears.
"Kitten?" Nico whispered, and I looked up, not realising I'd taken my place beside him, "Are you alright?"
"Yes," I nodded shakily.
The rest of the ceremony went by in a boring haze of oaths and promises, which I had to repeat in Italian.
Finally, the time came for the rings and the kiss.
Nuco slipped a white gold band on my finger, followed by a matching engagement ring with three large diamonds in emerald cuts.
I put his ring on, a simple gold band.
The kiss he gave me was small but passionate, and the whole room erupted with applause. As if, by just kissing me, he had done something great.
As I walked back down the aisle on Nicos' arm, I let out a breath I didn't realise I'd been holding.
The band aid had been ripped off. It was done. Legally binding. Till death would we part.

The reception was as fun as a party with no friends could be. We cut the cake ate some dinner and had a terrible first dance.
"I'm so sorry," I winced as I stumbled over the steps to the dance.
"It's fine, just stay confident." he chuckled as he led me around the dance floor.
Soon, it was time for us to go, and boy, was I ready.

"I've got us a honey moon villa by the beach, It'll be a little drive, but the privacy is worth it." Nico smiled as we drove down a country lane.
After half an hour or so, we came down a driveway to a cottage looking house.
It had plants growing around it and on it and the walls seemed to be lined or made from rock.
"It's beautiful,"
the car came to a stop.
"Let go inside then," Nico got out and opened the car door for me.
As I stood in the warm summer night I could hear the crashing of waves.
I turned around and saw that about hundred yards away was the beach.
"Come on," Nico unlocked the door and waited for me to walk in.
