Sophie and I walked around the school for a while. I know that Alex is still here because he and Cain decided to stay here. Their families are coming here for the holidays this year. Their parents and Uncle Luther and Aunt Eva will be here the day before Christmas Eve.

"Are you sure he's still here?" Sophie asked.
"I'm pretty sure," I replied.
Sophie and I stopped in the middle of the hall. I'm pretty sure we checked the entire school. We even found Cain and Gemma, but no Alex. Which is strange.

"Maybe he went to town for something?" Sophie suggested.
