8. A Means To An EndSabienn’s mind’s eye opened on to a sunny day. He stood near the water’s edge of some beach. There was a familiarity with the sand and surrounds as if he had been here before. It wasn’t until he saw a man and a woman sitting on the beach in the distance, each with their feet in the water, that he realized that this was the beach he had seen in visions before; the beach where he had seen his mother laughing with her friend Joallee as they had their feet in the water being nibbled by doctor fish.
