Eleven missed calls and nineteen messages were sent but the Ash brown haired beauty didn't even received a single reply. All her calls were automatically directed to the voicemail.
She is currently sitting on the stairs on their front porch. Waiting for Skye to response to her. But it seems like the auburn haired girl haven't had an intention to do so. It was odd for her. That Skye would turned her phone off especially if she went outside. Since the day she met her, Vanessa always get a reply from her. The only times where she can't when she was on the shower or had already fallen asleep.
Vanessa knew she shouldn't be worried. Maybe there is a reason behind it. Besides, her sister Maddison was just chill about it.
She decided to divert her attention to her social media account. Scrolling up and down. Reacting to some pictures and watching some funny videos, that wasn't really funny at all. But since she's not really that active on her social media account and she only have a few friends which mostly were her college friends on her previous school, she got bored eventually.
She turned her phone off and sighed. It's already half past three in the afternoon. If Skye just went to the Patterson's, they're probably watching movies now on her room.
Vanessa watched the two little girls who were setting up their picnic blanket on the yard. They were adorably cute while doing so and she can't help but smile. Aside from them, they were other few children playing on the yard too. But watching them is just half entertaining to her.
Her friends were nowhere to be found too. Since they were all too busy running some errands for their parents, she can't hang around them. It looks like she's all by herself for now.
She was about to think what she should do on her free time but cut it off in an instant. She stood up and get down on the stairs before she went to the side of their yard where Dean's blue faded pick up truck was parked. The keys on her back pocket weighing heavy. It's like urging her to used it.
"Where are you heading off?"
Vanessa stop on her tracks when she heard Dean's say. He just came out on from shed with some mechanical tools on his hands.
"To the Towne center." She simply replied. "I'm gonna borrow your truck for a moment. I wouldn't take long, I promise." She added before she walk to the truck.
Dean had an unreadable expression while staring at her sister as she passed through.
"But you just came from there." Dean said as he turned around and faced his sister. "Have you left something?" He asked.
Vanessa was already on the driver side of the truck when she replied. "Ah no. But Skye's there. I wanted to find her and maybe hang out a little since it's really boring here." She chuckled and opened the car door.
Dean clenched his jaw and sighed. He had promised himself to not interfere and wait for her sister to realize it but it's like the latter wouldn't.
"Stop it. "He said. Which make Vanessa stop from going inside the car and looked at him confusingly.
"The what?" She asked, genuinely confused.
"What you're doing." He simply replied.
Vanessa rolled her eyes before she speaks."I promise I will take your beloved truck back in one piece." She said before she went inside and closed the door.
"It's not what I'm talking about." She heard Dean said and she snickered. Her brother is so annoying.
"Then what?" She replied and put the key.
"Stop acting like she's your mate."
Vanessa stop mid tracks when Dean said it. Well, he didn't actually said it since he use their link to communicate. She chuckled when she looked at him.
"What the hell are you talking about?" She said with a smirked and not using their link. But Dean still had a serious face as he stood in front of the truck. Even Vanessa started the engine.
"You know what I'm talking about." Dean said with all seriousness on his voice and face. It made Vanessa turned serious a bit but she put a facade and smile.
"Whatever." She smirked and drove away, leaving her brother on the yard.
She took a deep breath. She knew what Dean was talking about but she pushed just put it back further to her mind.

"That was cute!" Skye exclaimed with a delightful expression as she stared at the gorgeous brunette in front of her who had a confused reaction.
"And the kiss was....so hot." She continued, saying the last two words seductively that Violet wanted to reconnect their lips again.
Her mate raised her head to the sky and sighed. She nearly stumbled as she do so, but luckily, Violet was still holding both of her arms.
Skye chuckles before she stared back at her. Her face turned serious. She still had a little smile on her lips but there's sadness in her eyes.
"I wish I don't wake up. I don't want this dream to end." She said and raised her right hand. Violet flinched but eventually calm down when Skye caress her cheek and tucked her wet hair on her ear. She wish it too. But this wasn't a dream, It was reality. The reality she wanted to happen but as well as what she most dreaded too. She just lucky that her mate was too drunk to think that this was just a dream.
They were like that for a moment. Staring at each other before Skye interrupted it when with her hiccup. She laugh again for a ninth time before she slowly pushed herself away from the brunette. Leaving her confused and a little amused on her.
Skye turned around and was about to head towards the stairs back to the balcony when the dizziness she fought for almost about half an hour now, completely consumed her. Her eyes abruptly closed as her body drop, but luckily, a pair of arms were quick enough to catch her before she completely fall to the ground.
