"I'll go with them," I said as soon as I rose from my seat.
I glance at Vanessa, her eyes met mine. She looked at me with confusion but I only smiled in return as I gently let go of her hand.
"Are you leaving, Miss Cassandra?" she asked with her usual frail voice. She tried to get up from her bed and her nurse immediately attended on her. I automatically give help to Vanessa until she was seating on the bed.
"I'm sorry, Vannessa. I'll be back and continue checking on your health after I see my husband," I said to her as I fixed the blanket covering her legs.
"Oh. I see. So, you're the wife of the Rogue Lancaster?" she asked innocently. I could tell that it was not her intention to offend me but hearing they way he called Leon was...quite, insulting.
