"Can you...be my friend, Leon?" I suddenly asked out of no where after the long silence stretched between us.
Heat immediately spread out my cheeks and my neck. I could feel how his entire attention darted to my directiob after hearing that. My heart was thumping loudly against my chest that I thought it would break free.
"What?" he inquired as if he did not hear me.
The embarrassment I was feeling doubled, and I could suddenly feel something funny on my stomach. I glance at him, but the shame I was feeling was too much that I can't look at him straight into his eyes.
"O-Oh...I-I was just kidding. N-Never mind what I had said," I tell him and my voice give way to what I was feeling. I bit my lower lip and tried my hardest not to glance in his way.
