After breakfast, we followed Xavier, Christian, Duncan and Cleo up the stairs. I was glad I haven’t had the chance to be alone with Anthony. He’s going to be furious that I contacted Victor, but I’m going to need his help to get me back out to the clearing and right now as close to the truth as possible is the best option.
Xavier and Christian volunteered to be put under the serum first so I could see the process. Cleo sat down with her test questions and Anthony sat beside her with his laptop, ready to record any answers.
“This a test question,” Cleo started with Xavier. “I need you to tell an obvious lie. I’ll ask the same question at the end and if your lie comes out then you are free to return to the grounds.”
