I knew it was time when his heartbeat began to skip before the monitors detected the change. I squeezed his hand and kissed it again then the beeping monitors began to go crazy. Tears filled my eyes and I stood up; still holding his hand until his body began to convulse and shake. Chloe rushed to the door and yelled for the doctor who had already been waiting just outside since we knew the time. He came in with the nurses and surrounded Duncan’s bed. I stood in the corner and cried while my whole body shook and shattered.
I watched the love of my life spasm uncontrollably and his eyes rolled into the back of his head. Foam dribbled from the corners of his mouth. It was a relief knowing that he would live through this seizure so it wasn’t as scary as I’m sure it could have be
