Chapter 7 Ranaui was someone known to Selati. The tiny Caniean was night black from the top of his spiky hair to the tip of his tail and Aleledai praised this one’s skill for hiding. Spy, that was the word Aleledai used. A foreign word to Selati, but he understood enough to know Ranaui hadn’t run across his path by accident. “Where is the Commander?” Ranaui demanded. His voice was soft, quiet, as though he physically couldn’t speak louder than a shadow. After a second’s thought, maybe it was because the hour was before dawn.
