The next visitors to the Woodbury Wetlands were a class from the local junior school on a day out to observe the newts and the dragonflies. Their teacher and her helpers split the children into small groups and then followed them as they explored the park. One of the children was looking to catch a butterfly with a net on the end of a bamboo stick but had been unsuccessful so far. She found running after the insects in her Wellington boots rather difficult and had already fallen over twice, the mud on her coat was evidence of that. She was about to give up and throw her net into the reeds that surrounded the lake when she saw a large grey cat sitting on one of the jetties.
