CHAPTER 3 Jane sat on the end of her bed and slowly brushed her hair. Her mind was swirling with thoughts of Jarmen. Lowering her brush to the bed, she studied her hand. She flexed her fingers, remembering the pain from before. He understands what the pain feels like, she thought, turning her hand back and forth and curling her fingers. Her a***e hadn’t come from strangers. It came from someone who was supposed to protect her. She rose to her feet, using the movement to push the memories away.
