795 Words
The car trip home was quiet until they reached the apartment. “We have been followed Julia, are you ready for our first kiss I believe we have a paparazzi audience.” “Oh, really I never saw anyone following us.” “They are there in two different cars. So are you ready?” Wow just like that the cameras were there and they were going to put on a show for all to see. What if he didn’t like the way she kissed? He had kissed a lot of women before, and she hadn’t, kissed men, not women. They exited the car he was holding the expensive painting be had brought for her. “Thanks for my painting.” She said. “It is truly my delight. Thank you for a lovely evening. Are you ready, because I’m going to kiss you now.” She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. This was it. His lips looked soft, smooth and inviting, not thin and hard like Adrian’s had been but thick and fat ready to cushion her lips against his. He gently reached over and took the back of her neck hesitating for a second and looked deep into her eyes. His blue eyes seemed to be looking right into her soul. The brush of his soft lips against hers caused her whole body to light up. He kissed her again this time genuinely, passionately she felt she was melting in his arms, his tongue found hers and danced across it. Then he pulled away and gave her a parting peck. She thought she couldn’t breathe like someone had just punched her in the stomach winding her. “I’ll call you tomorrow. No doubt you will be in the paper. Get inside before you catch a cold, can’t have you off sick now, can we?” She opened the main door and watched as he drove off then she touched her lips every so lightly. She was stunned that a man could make her feel like that from one kiss. Her lips felt slightly swollen from his kisses. She got in the elevator and headed up to the penthouse. The next morning she opened the front door and seen the paper waiting for her as it had every morning since she arrived. She turned to the society pages and gasped as she seen several pictures. One picture of her painting with the headline “Harrison spends $35,000 on a painting to impress” the next shot was of her and Harrison kissing on her front doorstep “A new love interest for Harrison?” The final one, the one that shocked her the most was the photo of her after the kiss. After Harrison had driven off, they got the shot of her leaning on the inside of her door touching her lips the headline read “Harrison leaves a lasting impression!” how silly of her, she thought after she closed the door she was safe inside her apartment foyer. It never occurred to her that the paparazzi would stay after they got the first shot, and they shot through the glass panel in the door to catch her very private moment. Ohhhh no, what would Harrison say when he saw it. She didn’t have to wait long for her answer the phone rang in the apartment. “Good morning Julia, have you seen the papers?” “Yes, I have.” She didn’t know what to say. “Good ending. The touching of the lips a perfect ending for their spread, how’d you come up with it?” “Oh, you know they always do it in movies. I saw the photographer was still out there and didn’t follow you so I thought I’d give them something to write about.” She said lying through her teeth. “It was great. Well while the photos are going we should go out again, how about tonight? Dinner. I’ll pick you up at seven. Smart Casual dress.” “Sure.” A real date with him! She would have to figure out her head first. She couldn’t melt every time he touched her. She needed to remember this was a contract. Ok, it had been a while since someone had kissed her, but that was no excuse. Could she ever remember been kissed like that though? A sea of heat rushing through her body, Ok she told her self so the guy can kiss. Enjoy the kissing and then just remember it means nothing it’s all just a big lie.
