I was given a new home and a new fancy car.
"Lisa, why are you acting friendly with him?" Janet asked. "You're supposed to treat him the way he treated you."
"Janet, it is true that he did something bad to me, but I have already forgiven him," I uttered. "I don't judge him or hold his sin against him."
"You're so nice. Do you think he will let you go?" she said. "He must be thinking that you stole his position and everything that belongs to him."
"I don't care," I muttered. "He can't do anything to me, Janet."
"But I don't like him. He is full of evil. I'm glad Emily's sacked; if not, we will have a lot of problems, Lisa. I'm only looking out for you," she whispered. "You need to be careful."
