SHE HELD her head after she woke up. She gazed around the room where she is. She shook her head in tears as she witnessed it. She is in the hospital, and Rossy is next to her with her cousin. It is still a mystery to her what had happened earlier and in the past few days. It seems that it was not just dreamed at all. She felt that everything that was happening to her was real. “Mom. . .” She called her mother while shaking her shoulder to wake her up. When she was a kid, she didn’t want to go to the hospital. This is her most hated place. She never likes anything associated with a hospital. Rossy and her cousin Maggie woke up. The two of them looked at her with worried faces. Rossy suddenly burst into tears because of happiness seeing her daughter Jing is now okay. “Oh, thank God! You’re awake, my dear.” “Couz, what happened? I saw you on the side of the road unconscious,” Maggie worriedly said. She shook her head. “I don’t know why I lost consciousness. I do not know.” Her mother took a deep breath and kissed her on the forehead. “The doctor said that nothing is wrong with you, that maybe you just lost your consciousness because you were so tired and didn’t get enough sleep for the past few days.” Her Mom held her hands tightly. “Don’t neglect yourself, my dear. Please take care of yourself always. Keep it in your mind.” She nodded. “Yes, Mom. I am sorry for making you worry. And thank you for coming here with Maggie. Thanks to Maggie, too.” She hugged Maggie tightly. She smiled at the two. “Mom, go home and rest,” she said. “I’m sorry for making you in trouble. Don’t worry about me, I am feeling better now.” She turned to Maggie. “Let’s go to school now, couz.” She knew she was fine and nothing would happen to her now. But still, she is worried because what happened to her earlier is still glued to her mind even now that she woke up after losing her consciousness. Why did it happen? And how? Rossy and Maggie helped her out of bed. “Are you sure that you are okay, dear?” Rossy asked her. She nodded. “Yes, Mom.” Her Mom smiled. They left the room and went to the information desk and came out after paying bills. They parted ways after. Her mother drove a motorcycle while she and her cousin Maggie took a ride on a jeep to get to school. “Bye, Mom!” she shouted and waved at her mother, and her mom did the same. They got a seat on the jeep. The guy passenger in front of her caught her attention. She didn’t know what she felt at that time when she saw that guy in front of her. He is wearing a black jacket with a hood on the head enough to cover his face. He had long black hair up to his neck. At first glance, he looks like a girl, but he is not. She looked at his pants and shoes that were also black. She ignored the guy and kept looking ahead where the driver was sitting. A few minutes passed, they are already at the gate of their school. They are not studying in a private school but in a public one, even though her mother has enough salary to send her to big universities. She refused to enroll in a private school. She wants a simple life and that is enough for her, being a scholar in her school was a big help for her mom. After paying for their transportation they entered the gate. Maggie faced her with a smile, “Well, see you later, couz. Be careful.” She nodded and smiled too. “Yes, I will. Thank you again, couz. Be careful, too.” They separated ways. She took the right side of the way going to her room while Maggie walked on the left side of the way. Her cousin is taking HUMMS while she is taking the STEM strand. She let out a deep breath and absorbed the cold breeze. But she stopped walking when she felt like someone is following her. She turned her back, and she saw the man she earlier saw on the jeep. “What. . .” She didn’t finish her words when the guy moved quickly and hold her hand. She suddenly felt w weird feeling when their palms clasped each other— it was magical for a moment. She pulled her hand away from him and made a step back. “Who are you?” she whispered. It looks like she lost her energy and voice. She still couldn’t see his face because of his hood. “Savior,” he replied. His voice was like a deep hole, it was cold and deep. Anyone hearing his voice will stop walking to take a look because of the tone of his voice. She shook her head and once again. “No! I do not know you! You are a stranger!” But no matter how she stepped away, he still caught her. “You cannot escape from your destiny, Jing Trinidad. The crows choose you, you will never get away or escape from me. I’ll chase you where ever you go. You are destined for me. I chose you.” She didn’t know why her heartbeat was suddenly beating so fast, it was like she is in the race running fast. For a moment, he grabbed her hand. Jing's eyes widened when she saw big black wings appeared behind the back of the guy. “I’m the prince, and you are my raven.”
