I unravel.
“I love you too,” Sasha replies.
I can’t believe it. I knew when I saw them together. I just knew they were interested in each other.
But I thought I had time. That’s why I threatened her.
I thought I had time enough to stop this. I thought if I kept her away from him, I’d be able to keep my mate.
Zach is my mate, but now he’s saying all these awful things to her. And I just can’t believe it. I can’t fathom it.
Why?
What does she have that I don’t have? How could he be so cruel to me like this?
I shake with fury and pain.
