The boys he f****d were usually about my age, or a little younger. He didn’t, thank goodness, have a taste for very young boys, unlike some Romans of my acquaintance. I think I should have had a real problem with him if he abused little children. The boys were all slaves, as far as I knew, though again there were plenty of upstanding Roman men who liked boys’ asses better than they liked anything, and if they could debauch a well brought-up young boy they would have no hesitation about doing just that. Several of the boys Regulus used were very attractive, and just because they let him use their asses (as if most of them had a choice) didn’t mean they were averse to girls. So, before too long, one or two of the boys and I became friendly. Of course we kept Regulus in the dark about that.
