“Step away from her,” a stern voice sounds behind me, light from the hallway sipping into the pitch black bedroom, “Get away from my daughter.” I let go of her inactive body and Amber falls on the bed with a thud, she grunts some gibberish before sleep overtakes her. She was literally passed out in seconds.
