I approach the kitchen warily. The aroma coming from in there very enticing fueling even more the hunger that rumbled through my stomach. Mother, father and Matt were already down taking breakfast.
But I was terrified to go in.
Scared of what mother would say to me once she saw me. After what happened that Sunday morning in the kitchen. I have been dodging her presence at all costs. Things between her and dad still rocky.
And I am to blame for their argument.
More so I didn’t want to listen to mother reproaching me about Luke again. It infuriates me thinking he picked his side over mine.
