Nick’s POV
We all sat down in the living room as we caught up with our mother. I was glad she looked as healthy as ever after the reincarnation but neither Emma nor I were happy with how things transpired between her and Nicolai. I had been with her ever since she got back, in appreciation of the chance I got to get my mother back from the dead.
I looked over at Nicolai who had his head down. He had disappeared for some hours this night, which was a day after our mother was back. I had wondered where he went but then decided to give him his personal space because what had just happened to him was not easy. It was hard for him but he needed to do it for his family.
