Chapter Forty-Five. Mars.
The look of anxiousness on Davina’s face nearly does me in, as she struggles to find the words to tell me what is going on. I try to be patient, but it is difficult, because now I don’t know if I need to jump in my car and drive down to Sunderland, or just wait to find out what has her in such a state.
“Honey, talk to me,” I tell her before my head explodes, and Ares starts growling out his frustrations.
“I took Mars to Herrington Park, which is opposite Penshaw Monument. I was going to take him into the Black Woods, behind, when Thrax told him we couldn’t go there as it is part of a pack,” she tells me.
