Chapter Ninety. Davina. I don’t think either Mars or I got a wink of sleep last night. Not because of the reasons you might think, being relatively new mates, but because the issue with Max is weighing heavy on us. I have to admit Eve Brown’s advice makes perfect sense, but again we cannot make any decisions at the moment. Not until this Social Services issue is resolved, and Mars finishes off his contract. Not that he needs to do that for our finances. He has already shown me the accounts for the pack, and to say I nearly had a heart attack by the billions in that account, is no exaggeration.
