She collided with me, almost knocking me over as she hugged me tightly. “What are you doing here Aiden?”
“I wanted to surprise you.”
“You certainly did that.”
She pulled away and I smiled. “I needed to see if you were okay.”
“I’m fine. Come on, I’ll introduce you to my friends.” She said enthusiastically, taking my hand in hers.
“Sure.”
She dragged me over to two guys that had more muscle than I would ever have. I’m beginning to think this was a huge mistake. Why be with a guy like me when she could have one of them?
