Carly Christmas has finally come around. The camp is closed for the festivities and won’t open again until March so I’ll be gaining my experience by going to where the other counsellors work with the children from camp. It's a large facility where the children will do their school work and mingle. We will be there for them everyday so they can come to us and talk about anything that is bothering them and to do catch up sessions with them. After I return in January it will be my first one to one of the year and I will be assessed on how well I’m doing with the kids and what I need to do to improve. The counsellor I’ve been assigned to is impressed with me and how well I’ve taken to the role of a children’s counsellor. It's not an easy job but I try to be creative and work outside the bo
