Antonio's POV
I went straight back to work after my date with Laura. I'm very determined to not let her get to me. I have no space for emotions in my life. Feelings are for weak people.
So it came as a shocker when I got a call from her the next day asking to meet. I hope she's not planning on rejecting my offer. I have her backed into a corner, so she won't be quick to say no, that I am very sure about.
I offered to pick her up, but she insisted she'd find her way herself. I admire how she's trying to grow a back-bone, she's gonna need it in my world.
I plan to shield her as much as possible from the dangers of my world, but I can't really be too careful.
I've got some business to take care of before I have to meet up with Laura, so I had better head out now.
