Amber's heart was beating loudly as she scampered down the stairs at top speed. What could have happened? It was almost half past two in the morning and the last thing she expected was to see Ivan here at this time. Was he sick? Did something happen? She climbed down two stairs at a time and was almost breathless by the time she reached the door. Huffing, she opened the door and there he stood, his eyes bleak as he stared at her.
