13 The storms from the previous night had cleared by morning when she came down the stairs. She walked into the kitchen and immediately saw the note that Henry had left on the counter. Picking it up, she read the brief message saying he had gone to the grocery store and would be back soon. Pouring herself a glass of orange juice, she had barely taken a sip when her phone rang, the country music song her mom loved letting her know that her mom was finally returning her call.
