Two hours later, Makayla looked up from where she was listening to the two girls across from her talk about starting college in a little over a week. It reminded her that the school year would be starting soon. Her eyes moved to where Brian was standing next to the pool table. Confusion swept through her as she wondered what his plans were. “So, what about you, Makayla? What are you going to be doing?” Sheila asked.
