I gasped loudly as I shot up from the bed. My eyes roamed around the familiar room while I caught my breath. From everyone who was crowding my small room’s surprised reaction, I don’t think something good happened to me.
“What happened?” It was all I could utter after I recovered. I was still heaving, but breathing was now much easier.
It’s like I’ve fallen into a deep body of water and was submerged close to death… then someone pulled me back to the surface of the water. It was too specific, but that was how it felt like.
