Luigi’s remark kept replaying in my mind. It’s been days, and it still never fails to fluster me. It has become very awkward after that, and I sincerely wished I had brought it up a little later because I wasn’t ready to hear that. I don’t think he deserved to be left hanging like that.
The problem is I don’t know how to bring it up again. A week had passed, and we had been talking casually, but he never brought it up again. Luigi would often visit the shop, both to bring food for me and Callista and to ask about Gideon.
Contrary to his thoughts, I wasn’t afraid of him. I don’t think I would be even if I witnessed their fight. I just wished I had more courage to say that to Luigi.
