“It’s the middle of the night, Gideon. Not everyone is nocturnal in this town-” The woman stopped her scolding as soon as she opened the door.
Gideon, the vampire who saved me, said that he could help me settle here. I was reluctant, thinking that this place might not be for me if it was all vampires residing there, but he insisted and said I should look at the town before I decided to leave.
