Alcohol barely affects supernatural creatures. Our kind could get drunk, but it would usually take a lot, while vampires don’t get drunk, apparently. To “spice up” the party, Callista had a genius idea and did some experimental spells on the alcohol. Long story short, it worked, and we finally learned not to do it again.
Everyone who can drink did and many of them definitely overestimated themselves.
