KARA
I heard frantic knocks after a nightmare awoke me. The doors to my room were locked, but I listened to the doorknob twisting, revealing Natasia’s worried face as soon as the door opened.
“You were screaming, are you okay?” She exclaimed and quickly approached and sat with me.
My eyes roamed the room, and it took me a whole minute to ground myself and realize where I was. It’s only a dream… I’m already out of that place.
I shook my head in response to her question earlier. I don’t think I’m okay. My vision was all blurry, with tears continued welling in my eyes.
Natasia left the room and came back carrying a glass of water.
“Thank you.” I mumbled while trying my best not to drop the glass as my hands were still shaking.
