Juliet P.O.V “Perfect,” my mom… I mean, faith said. I glance down at my outfit, feeling a bit strange. I never wore cloth like these before and honestly, I’m more of a tight jeans and t-shirt type of girl. “What are you waiting for, Take a look,” Faith said, pushing me to the mirror that stood at the head of her bed. My hands rushed toward my mouth to cover it. A fluttery feeling in my belly as I gasp, doing a double-take. “How?” I croaked stupefyingly. “What do you mean how? You look gorgeous for your first day of school,” Faith said baffle. It was genuinely shocking. My mind was sent reeling, unable to comprehend the images being sent by my eyes. I breathe in and looked away, then looked back to see if what I saw was true. It was. I didn’t look like myself in anything. This body that I am in is more beautiful than I ever was. She has auburn when I was wearing dull black hair, and if you stare long enough perhaps, it will look like a sunset. Her eyes were wide, penetrating green eyes, leaving you captivated. And the look of her smile could say that she was a caring person while I am, I don’t know, just me I guess. “You alright,” Faith asks concernedly. I smile. “Yeah,” “Get going, School starts in a few,” she said as I nod.                                                                                                *** “Are you ready for your new school,” asked Uncle Jack, I mean Jack. I need to stop calling him Uncle Jack, after all, we’re the same age now. “Yeah, of course, I am,” I replied, but on the inside no, no, I’m not. This is an entirely different timeline from mine. “You’re going to do great, come on, let’s go.” If you say so We both got out of the car and walked side by side, I took in the building before me. It stood tall and large and has three sections I watch students walk around the corridor aimlessly with their friends, chatting away. I could hear the waves of laughter of those currently around. I turned toward the left when I saw a girl rushing toward a boy who is walking in her direction, smiling at her. As she near him, she jumps and kissed him as he returns her kiss without hesitation. My head turns to Jack when he suddenly said. “Damn, I forgot I had basketball practice this morning with the coach, I’m so dead. Juliet, do you think you can find the registration office by yourself?” I nodded my head as I murmured a quick yes as he rushed off to practice leaving me alone. As soon as he disappears from my line of vision; I immediately took the school map from my bag, scanning it to find out where the office is as I walk when I suddenly bump into someone. Without looking, I apologize quickly and keep walking into school. “Ah, I found it,” I mumbled, heading into the office, but before I could tell the secretary anything she gave me my schedule as she smiled and said. “You’ve got to be the new student, here’s your school and locker number.” “Thank you,” I replied, smiling kindly at her. “Locker 415, where are you?” I muttered as I looked around and saw a lot of students standing around their lockers with their friends chatting and laughing when someone next to me said, “There’s locker 415.” I look at the person who said that when I notice he was the cute guy from the cafe. I quickly said thanks to him before opening my lockers and putting my books inside as I get ready for my first class of the day. I notice him, still watching me as I glance toward his side. ‘Do I have something on my clothes?’ I thought, checking my clothes for any sign of something when the school bell rang. I looked up back and notice he has disappeared. Maybe he was staring at something behind me. It took me 15 minutes to find my class. I took a deep breath and walk through the door. The teacher turns, “You must be the new student, Juliet,” he said. I nodded, “Yes, sir.” “My name is Mr. Charles and welcome to English,” I smile slightly at him. He looked young to be a teacher. He must be what, 22 at most. He wore a bell bottom pant with a red shirt tucked in. His well-combed hair pushed backward, which kind of highlighted his jawline. “Please have a seat next to Patricia,” he gestured toward the back, nodding I walk through the first row to which he pointed. There sat a girl with black hair, pale skin, and rose pink lips, waving at me. I’m guessing she’s Patricia. As I draw closer to her, I could not help but notice how beautiful she is. Taking a seat next to her, I realized the teacher didn’t let me introduce myself, which I’m glad about. “Hi, I’m Patricia, but I’m sure you knew that already,” she introduced herself, smiling softly, which makes her look so effortlessly stunning. Her teeth were pearly white, it could dazzle anyone looking that them. “Juliet,” I smiled back at her, to which she said, “I know. I mean, everyone knows who you are.” My eyebrows raise in slight shock at this information, “Ha ah I mean we never have new students and you’re the first to attend hence why everyone knows who you are,” she finished as I nodded at the newly founded information. “It’s nice to meet you,” “You too,” she beams. “Alright students, take out your notebook, and let’s begin,” Mr. Charles pronounced. “Today we will look at…,” he went on explaining what I already knew. So I just zoned out while I look around in the classroom. It is unique, to say the least. It was color with a bunch of things hang up on the wall. My eyes grazed over all the students, taking in all their unique ways of dressing. And then my eyes found him, sitting in front with his friends, taking notes as the teacher talked. “That is Preston, I can introduce you if you like,” she said noticing my gaze on him. I glanced at her, “No, it’s just he helped me find my locker this morning, that’s all,” She opens her mouth to say something, but before she had the chance to even get a word out, I asked how things work around here. And trust me, it was so different from mine. Time went by so fast and before I know it, classes were over and we were on the next subject. But instead of going to another classroom like in my time for a different subject, the teachers would come to where you are. The class I was placed in was Standard C. There were distinct classes grade from Standard A to E and each class holds about 25 to 30 students each, according to what I learned from Patricia.
