The Wolf\'s Escape

Authors POV

Dean was unaware about the mysterious girl who he had saved.

When Dean would encounter who that mysterious girl was, his life would take a big turn.

The mysterious girl was none other than "RIEKA".

RIEKA means power of the wolf. She is the queen of the wolves and her duty is to protect her pack from the human kind.

When Rieka gained consciousness, she found herself in a stranger's place where she had never been before.

Everything was new for her, she was wearing a blue attire. She couldn't remember anything about herself.

RIEKA had lost her memory as she had been hit her head by a sharp object. She tried to recollect about herself but she remembered nothing.

When auntie Maddie discovered that Rieka had gained consciousness she tried to approach her.

"Stay away from me", Rieka screamed and hid behind the curtain.

"Oh Dear I'm just trying to help you sweetheart, don't be afraid!!! Come out",Auntie Maddie said, taking a few steps towards the curtain.

"Who are you?",Rieka asked.

"Actually I should be asking you this question, what is your name Dear?"Maddie asked.

Rieka didn't answer, she was just holding her head as it hurt very badly because of the scar.

"How did you get here, where is your family?"

"I don't remember anything", Rieka replied.

"How did I get here, who saved me?".

"Dean saved you, he found you near the river bank lying unconscious, he brought you here

Dressed your wound, he is gone to get some medicinal herbs for your wound, I hope you re everything that has happened to you"

"Are you hungry?",Maddie asked.

"Yes I am", Rieka replied.

"Come take a seat near the dining table. I will serve you food, you look so weak",Maddie said.

Rieka had the food served for her on the table.

DEAN POV

Ryan and I had finished with our work, we began to collect all our collected food items and we stored it in our bag which we carried along with us.

When we reached the village it was already dark. The villagers had returned from their hunt along with the wolf. The villagers had succeeded in getting the wolf trapped.

I saw them bring the wolf in a cage made of iron.

The wolf looked so weak and depressed.

I felt really bad for the wolf but I couldn't do anything as we needed a wolf to save our villagers from the king.

I know we are too very too very selfish, sacrificing a wolf for saving our lives

The villagers kept the wolf in a room which was dark and locked.

The door was locked with a strong lock.

When I reached home I saw that the young girl had gained her consciousness.

She was sitting on the coach.

"I was waiting for you young man,

Thank you for saving my life Dean", she said with a smile.

"Hey, how do you know my name is Dean",I asked taking few steps towards her with a confused look on my face.

"The lady told me that you saved my life and brought me here", her smile looked so beautiful, that I couldn't take my eyes off her.

I kept my fishing net in the corner of the room while replying to her questions.

"It's fine there is no need for you to thank me, it's my duty to help people who are in need",

"What's your name?",I asked her.

"I don't remember anything, If I try to recall anything this wound hurts really bad" she replied touching her wound on her head.

if she kept touching the wound it would get infected

" Don't touch your wound it might get worse. It's okay, don't strain yourself, just take a rest ,you will be fine soon, I'm sure you will be able to recall everything",I said while taking a seat next to her.

"Yes thank you Dean", she replied.

"I brought some medicinal leaves for your wound, I will apply it for you before you sleep, we should have our dinner now", I said while shows her the medicinal herbs.

"can you apply it for me", she said while moving towards me.

"Indeed", I replied with a smile.

We had our dinner and began to have a small chat while sitting on the coach.

I placed a blanket over her body and said "you should take rest now, you will soon be ok",I added.

"You are a very kind person Dean, no one does or cares so much for a stranger",she replied.

I smiled at her.

The villagers began to play music on their guitar and they were dancing around the fire.

"What is going on?" She asked.

After dinner we all villagers gather together to sing and dance around the fire.

We just have some fun time together after a long tiring,and a hectic day", I said.

"Do you want to join us?",I asked.

"Yes I would love to!!", She replied.

"Come along with me they would be pleased to have you there, before joining the villagers I got to feed my horse he must be hungry",I said.

I had some sweet apples for max from the forest, he loves apples.

Max is my horse, he always stays along with me, and protects me.

My grandma had gifted max to me when I was little, since then we stayed together.

"Maxie my boy, did you miss me buddy, I'm sorry today I couldn't spend much time with you as it was a hectic day, see what I brought you, your favourite sweet apples. Have them buddy", I said.

Max had the sweet apples which I brought him.

"He is cute",she replied.

"I know right, my grandma had given max to me when I was little since then I had him.

We headed towards the villagers and took a seat near them, we both joined them in singing and dancing, she was dancing along with them.

She looked so beautiful while dancing, she had a melodious voice. I couldn't stop staring at her. She had the most beautiful smile, I think I'm falling in love with this girl.hope she gets her memory back and she recalls everything that she has forgotten. After a few minutes I saw that she was feeling restless, she left the place heading towards the room where the wolf was kept.

I followed her, the next thing I saw made my jaw drop open.

She opened the strongest lock, it is difficult to break this lock. It is the strongest lock that the villagers ever brought.

The villagers purchased this lock from a

sorcerer. Who is this girl, I thought in my mind. The girl entered the room, after a few minutes I witnessed that she had helped the wolf escape. I had many questions arising in my mind. I left that place and sat in between the villagers. I. thought to myself if the villagers find out that this mysterious girl is behind the escape of the wolf they might kill her or even worse, they would offer her to the king which is worse than death.

I pretended that I had not witnessed anything.

After a minute or so, the girl sat beside me as if she had done nothing. I needed to ask her why did she help the wolve escape?, but not today I would ask her this tomorrow.

I told her we need to head back home as I'm feeling sleepy.

When we reached home, I told her that she could sleep on my bed. I placed a blanket over her.

I prepared my bed on the floor, placed a pillow under my head and tried to sleep.
