He crossed the great hall quickly, walking with little pigeon steps, making for the huge, square opening that had been cut into the cold, dark stone of the cave wall. Above this doorway was the symbol of the Black Sun. It was big, bold, imposing and off-limits to the all but the men who practiced their dark magic down there in the lowest levels. Joachim watched him saunter inside and become one with the blackness. He was about to dismiss his troop when two other men climbed up the ladder and stepped onto the gently rocking deck. They were not dressed like the other man at all. Even from here he could see that these two were both strangers to any sort of sartorial style because they wore dark, ill-fitting suits with cream coloured shirts that in another life had once been white.
