Dinner was roasted rabbit with pumpkin and onions. There was apple and strawberry pie for dessert and home-made ale which flowed as thick and fast as the conversation. After they’d said their goodbyes, Christian took hold of James’ hand. “Feel like a walk?” he asked. “Sure,” replied James. The afternoon nap had worked its magic. They strolled through the huts in silence and soon came to the field. They skirted the edge of the field and when they were completely alone, Christian took James into his arms and they kissed. “I love you,” he said. “I love you, too,” said James. “But I get a feeling there’s something else you want to say.” Christian kissed the tip of James’ nose. “No fooling you, is there?
